    Contenuti

    Il corso si propone di fornire allo studente gli strumenti di base per l’analisi economica del turismo. Durante la prima parte del corso, vengono introdotti i concetti di base della microeconomia e della contabilità nazionale. Nella seconda parte si affronta innanzitutto il tema del turismo nel sistema economico e successivamente si procede ad un’analisi microeconomica del turismo.

    Obiettivi formativi

    studente deve mostrare di comprendere le caratteristiche specifiche del prodotto turistico e dell’impresa turistica, e le specificità della scelta del consumatore-turista rispetto al consumatore classico.

    Autonomia di giudizio (making judgements).
    Lo studente saprà utilizzare le competenze acquisite per discutere criticamente i modelli studiati e la loro applicazione al turismo
    Abilità comunicative (communication skills).
    Lo studente deve essere in grado di comunicare le proprie conoscenze in modo chiaro ed esauriente e con la dovuta proprietà di linguaggio.
    Capacità di apprendere (learning skills).
    Lo studente deve mostrare di aver appreso come si utilizzano i grafici e di aver sviluppato una buona capacità di comprensione dell’applicazione della logica economica al turismo.

    Prerequisiti

    Sono richieste conoscenze di base di algebra elementare.

    Lezioni frontali ed esercitazioni.

    Metodi di valutazione

    L’esame consiste in un compito scritto e un colloquio volti ad accertare il livello di conoscenza degli argomenti indicati nel programma e trattati durante le lezioni. L’esame scritto verte sui concetti di base della microeconomia e della contabilità nazionale ed è composto da tre esercizi. Il colloquio consiste nella discussione del compito e di due domande che vertono sulla seconda parte del programma, per esempio la teoria del turista-consumatore, la produzione nel turismo, le imprese di produzione e distribuzione della vacanza, le imprese di produzione di servizi, i mercati turistici.
    La valutazione avverrà sulla base dei seguenti criteri: Conoscenza degli argomenti, capacità di applicare la teoria ai problemi specifici posti dal docente, proprietà di linguaggio e capacità analitica.
    Possibili esiti: esito eccellente: 30 e lode; esito ottimo da 28 a 30; esito molto buono; 26 e 27; esito buono da 23 a 26; 20 21,22 esito soddisfacente; 18 e 19 esito sufficiente.

    Programma del corso

    Prima parte (5 Crediti).
    I principi alla base delle scelte individuali. L’interazione: come funziona un sistema economico. Usare i modelli, i grafici, le variabili e i modelli economici. Come funzionano i grafici. La curva di domanda. Domanda e offerta: il modello di un mercato concorrenziale. L’elasticità della domanda al prezzo. La curva di offerta. La funzione di produzione. Due concetti chiave: il costo marginale e il costo medio. Costi di lungo e di breve periodo. I cambiamenti della domanda e dell’offerta. Mercati concorrenziali e altri mercati. L’oligopolio e la concorrenza monopolistica.

    Seconda parte (5 crediti).
    Introduzione all’economia del turismo. La teoria del turista-consumatore. La produzione nel turismo. Le imprese di produzione e distribuzione della vacanza. Le imprese di produzione di servizi. I mercati turistici.

    The course aims to provide students with the basic tools for the economic analysis of tourism. During the first part of the course, the basic concepts of microeconomics and national accounting are introduced. In the second part, we will study first the theme of tourism in the economic system and then a microeconomic analysis of tourism is carried out.

    Course objectives

    The student must show that he understands the specific characteristics of the tourist product and the tourist enterprise, and the specificities of the choice of the turist-consumer compared to the classic consumer.

    The student has to be able to use the skills acquired, to critically discuss the models studied and their application to tourism
    Communication skills.
    The student must be able to communicate his / her knowledge clearly and comprehensively and with the necessary language properties.
    Learning skills (learning skills).
    The student must show that he has learned how to use the graphs and that he has developed a good understanding of the application of economic logic to tourism.

    Basic knowledge of elementary algebra is required.

    The exam consists of a written assignment and an interview aimed at ascertaining the level of knowledge of the topics indicated in the program and faced during the lessons. The written exam focuses on the basic concepts of microeconomics and national accounting and consists of three exercises. The interview consists in the discussion of the task and of two questions concerning the second part of the program, for example the tourist-consumer theory, production in tourism, holiday production and distribution companies, service production companies, the tourist markets.
    The evaluation will be based on the following criteria: Knowledge of the topics, ability to apply the theory to the specific problems posed by the teacher, properties of language and analytical capacity.
    Possible outcomes: excellent outcome: 30 with distinction ; excellent outcome from 28 to 30; very good outcome; 26 and 27; good result from 23 to 26; 20-21-22 satisfactory outcome; 18 and 19 sufficient outcome.

    First part (5 Credits).
    The principles underlying individual choices. Interaction: how an economic system works. Use models, graphs, variables and economic models. How graphs work. The demand curve. Demand and supply: the model of a competitive market. The price elasticity of demand. The supply curve. The production function. Two key concepts: marginal cost and average cost. Long and short-term costs. Changes in supply and demand. Competitive markets and other markets. Oligopoly and monopolistic competition.

    Second part (5 credits).
    Introduction to the tourism economy. The tourist-consumer theory. Production in tourism. Holiday production and distribution companies. Service production companies. Tourist markets.
