Prospective students requiring a Study Visa to enter Italy are requested to follow the international admission and pre-enrolment procedure outlined below:
1. Eligibility Assessment (Pre-evaluation)
To initiate the process, candidates should submit their academic qualifications (e.g., Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) awarded by a foreign institution. To be considered for admission, these documents should be:
- Officially translated into English or Italian;
- Legalized by the competent authorities in the country of origin;
- Accompanied by a Statement of Comparability issued by CIMEA or a Declaration of Value(Dichiarazione di Valore in loco) issued by the competent Italian Consulate or Embassy.
2. Online Admission Interview
Suitable candidates will be invited to an online admission interview conducted via Microsoft Teams.
- Purpose:The interview aims to evaluate the applicant’s academic background, English language proficiency, and rationale for choosing the Master’s Programme.
- Timeline:Interviews are generally scheduled between April and July. Candidates will receive a formal invitation via email.
3. Mandatory Pre-enrolment via Universitaly
Upon successful completion of the interview and after receiving a Letter of Eligibility from the Department, candidates proceed with the mandatory pre-enrolment through the Universitaly Portal.
This step is essential for the University to validate the application and enable the candidate to apply for a Study Visa.
4. Language Requirements
- English Curriculum: Proficiency at a B2 level or higher is required. Native English speakers are exempt from providing language certification.
- Italian Curriculum: A proficiency test in Italian is mandatory for students choosing this track.
5. Visa Application
Once the University has validated the pre-enrolment on the Universitaly portal, the candidate can apply for a Study Visa at the competent Italian Embassy or Consulate in their country of residence.
6. Final Enrolment
Formal enrolment at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” opens on 1 September. International students must complete their registration and pay the first instalment to finalise their academic status.
