Obiettivi formativi | Obiettivo del corso è far comprendere i meccanismi di funzionamento dell’Organizzazione delle Nazioni Unite e del ruolo da essa esplicato nella Comunità internazionale, con particolare riguardo all’impatto delle Nazioni Unite nelle relazioni internazionali e al loro contributo allo sviluppo del diritto internazionale. |
Prerequisiti | Non è prevista alcuna propedeuticità. Tuttavia, in considerazione dei contenuti del corso, gli studenti devono possedere una conoscenza sufficiente del diritto internazionale. |
Metodologie didattiche | Il corso attribuisce 9 CFU e prevede 54 ore di didattica frontale. I metodi didattici prevedono lezioni frontali, esercitazioni, gruppi di studio esame di casi pratici e dibattito sui principali temi del programma. |
Metodi di valutazione | La valutazione del candidato avviene mediante colloquio orale con punteggio in trentesimi. Per il superamento con sufficienza (18/30) dell’esame è richiesto il soddisfacimento dei requisiti di cui alla sezione “Obiettivi formativi”, ossia l’aver acquisito conoscenza e capacità di comprensione (knowledge and understanding). La prova orale consiste in un colloquio articolato in domande, in un numero non inferiore a tre, ciascuna vertente su un argomento specifico del programma, ed è finalizzata ad accertare il livello di conoscenze raggiunto allo studente. |

Contents | The course aims at studying the United Nations Organisation, focussing on the main theoretical and practical problems related to the functioning of the United Nations. |

Course objectives | The aim of the course is to teach students about the UN mechanisms and the role played by the UN in the International Community, with a focus on the UN impact on international relations and the UN contribution to the development of International Law. |
Prerequisites | No prerequisites are required. However, in consideration of the course’s contents, it is advisable that the students have a basic knowledge of International Law. |
Teaching methods | The course assigns 9 CFU and includes 54 hours of frontal teaching. The teaching methods include lectures, exercises, study groups, examination of cases based on practice and debates on the main topics of the program. |
Evaluation methods | Evaluation methods: The evaluation of the candidate will be held through an oral interview for which the score is expressed in grades from 1 to 30. The minimum score to pass the exam is 18/30. To get a passing grade, the student has to demonstrate that he/she has reached the "Training objectives", i.e. the student must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the exam programme. The oral test consists of an interview made up of minimum three questions about the specific topics of the program and aims to verify the knowledge acquired by the student. |
